FARMHOUSE CHRISTMAS

  A GOOD OLD FASHION CHRISTMAS

"With Warmest Thoughts and Best Wishes For A Merry Christmas And A Happy New Year!"

I will be celebrating Christmas this year out on the small five acres of farm land belonging to my son and daughter-n-law. The air there is fresh, with the smell of the magnolia and pine trees. There are a dozen free range chickens roaming about the back yard and fresh eggs in the chicken coop. While most people are choosing to put the very popular farmhouse décor in their urban homes, they are really living it.

The rustic farmhouse feeling is found through out; although the home has been fully renovated from top to bottom with new flooring, lighting, walls, moldings, along with new bathroom and kitchen cabinets and fixtures.

The large family room is transformed for the Holidays by adding festive toss pillows on the sofas with a warm red throw layered across the back.

The mantel is draped in burlap ribbons, holly berries, pine cones, and lanterns, with a wreath hung on top and the stockings are just waiting for Santa.

The live Christmas tree stands in
the corner, where my daughter-n-law has decorated it beautifully by incorporating the traditional and farmhouse styles with the ornaments. I just love the burlap bows she added as a tree topper.
